History of the Thai language

Thai is the nation language of Thailand,spoken by around eighty percent of the sixty million residents of the South-East Asian country. Linguists consider it an "uninflected,primarily monosyllabic,tonal language" in the "Ka-Tai group." The spoken language is belived to have originated in the area which is now the border between Vietnam and China,an idea which provides clues to the origin of the Thai people,an area of continued scholarly debate.Linguistically,the language is related to language spoken in eastern Burma,northern Vietnam, Yunan, and Laos.

How to use Thai language when Shopping

The word ‘shopping’ is widely spoken among Thais nowadays and this word is specifically used when you refer to ‘real shopping at a shopping mall or department store’. When you go buy stuff or food at the shops, market, supermarket, grocery, kiosk or even at the 7 Eleven, we do not use the word ‘shopping’, we just simply say ‘bpai-seúh-kăwng’, which literally means, ‘go buy things’
